Text:
[239] A character of an Improvisatore page, (Scipio, Miss Smithson) well conceived, but ill drawn, was an endless source of mirth. His verses were always accompanied by whistling, yawning, and other outré noises. This part was the author's conceived strong hold, and the Keanites of course attacked it most bitterly.
