Benedetto Croce, “Problemi di letteratura italiana: la poesia estemporanea”

In his review of Adele Vitagliano’s book on improvisatori, Croce points out the main flaws of the work. He argues that the author dedicates too much of the book to Greek and Roman improvisatori. In his opinion, Vitagliano should have focused more on improvisatori of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. He suggests additional bibliographic entries.
