Alessandro Ademollo, Corilla Olimpica

Ademollo describes how theatrical performances of improvisation by male and female improvisatori evolved in Florence between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. Corilla's performances were never paid; Bandettini was the first woman to accept money for her public performances.
